Towards The Same Horizon

July 24th, 2020

Today, far from Druidry seeming like some arcane fringe activity, our preoccupations are now centre-stage: they address the most urgent and important issue of our time: how we galvanize all of our potential – practical, creative, intellectual, and spiritual – to protect and restore the Earth.

They address directly the gaze of Greta Thunberg and her generation – our children and grand-children – to say: we are committed to our love of Nature to the fullest extent, with all of our being – all looking towards the same horizon: a world in which each human being has enough to lead a happy, healthy and fulfilling life, without suffering injustice, without terrible inequalities between rich and poor, without the destruction of habitats and species, without the pollution of our skies and seas.

  1. Beautifully spoken. I hope you enjoyed your time off. I’ve missed listening to you on tea with a Druid. Your wisdom and insight is what inspired my journey to further self discovery.

  2. Beautiful. I have tears in my eyes as I read your post after having seen a post with photos of wounds caused by rubber bullets on a peaceful protester in Portland. Carrying the words from The Druid’s Prayer for reflection and guidance is vital. There IS inspiration around me and I must acknowledge it and be it for others. Thank you, Phillip Carr-Gomm for your guidance.

  3. I always thought that when you have children, you can’t help but work for a sustainable climate-friendly future on this earth. I can only hope that politicians with or without children will soon feel this drive within themselves.

  4. Thank you Philip. I often wonder what it is going to take to wake those who are asleep or have their head buried in their cash box. I thought COVID was going to but I don’t think so any more. In the States it is driving us farther apart.

  5. Thank you for a few moments of thoughtful reflection together with these lovely images, Philip. Looking forward to some of the new Tea Sessions with hopefully, a restored and refreshed you. I often listen to some of your earlier ones while I am painting, and they always help me to focus.

  6. Thanks soooo much for sending to my attention Philip! Beautiful images and as ever well said words…thank you for reminding us all of what is truly important. Welcome back and look forward to seeing you on Tea with a Druid again! ….Even tho Eimear has been great…love her smile.

  8. Greetings Philip. Wonderful to hear you back, with more words of wisdom! Yes, I agree. I feel that Druidry is extremely valuable & helpful as a way of life, philosophy, spiritual path, & vision. It’s important for bringing balance, healing, truth, mercy, & love to the planet. I pray that our examples, spiritual work, thoughts, & dreams of peace become stronger each day in the “Morphogenic field,” able to influence the outcome of the planetary changes we are in. Blessings to All for a Divine Lughnasadh 🙂 /|\
