The Jewel Within the Fleeting Moment ~ John O’Donohue
August 26th, 2017
Beyond the veils of language and the noise of activity, the most profound events of our life take place in those fleeting moments where something else shines through, something that can never be fixed in language, something given as quietly as the gift of your next breath. Days and nights unfold in the confidence and continuity of sequence. Most days take no notice of us; but then every so often there is a moment when time seems to crystallize. A voice changes tone and a deeper music becomes audible. A gaze holds and a hidden presence is glimpsed.

Beautifully written. Oh how I no those days so well.
Honestly first time ever visiting this site and I know some one very close to me who can relate to your text almost exact and honestly I have goose bumps because he’s my father and his name is the same as yours
Harvesting visions that came with no words to describe the greater meaning was clearly summarized here for me.
Since reading Anam Cara I have become addicted to the beautiful writings of this man. Truly a lord of language in every respect. Evocative and etherial. Just beautiful. I now have every book of his.
