The Hunt for Gollum has Druids in It

The Hunt for Gollum film is now available to view online, and I’ve just discovered it has druids in it (real Druids that is – ie some of the actors are members of The Order of Bards Ovates & Druids)! Watch it here. I haven’t had time to watch it. Do tell me what you think of it if you get the chance!

The cinematography, prosthetic make-up and costuming were wonderful. These folks went to a lot of trouble, and it worked. And, I hear, on a US$7k budget too. The urge to create this speaks to the power of Tolkien’s work… what a tribute to him, and the entire cast and crew are to be congratulated for this truly amazing amateur masterpiece. Thank you, whoever you are.

I saw this and was quite impressed, especially given its low budget – excellent effort, and very good acting!
